A Dacroscintigraphy Scan is used to determine whether there is a blockage in the tear ducts.  To determine the rate of flow of fluid through the tear ducts and identify any blockages in the tear ducts. However, there are many reasons why the scan is performed and you will need to talk to your doctor about this.
